Curiosity made me check to see if IGN still inexplicably assigns number scores to games. If there was ever a site that scores mattered less on I don't know of it. In the past week alone, I have heard 3 separate jokes on unrelated videos about IGN scoring everything a 7,8,or 9. Whether or not the reputation is fully deserved is neither here nor there. The bottom line is that they could only benefit from ditching the pointless score imo.

But overall the reviews sound positive to very positive. That makes a happy John. Expecting many large boob traps.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

None of the linked reviews mention the quality of the multiplayer co-op feature that was announced a few days ago (except RPS', which only tags the game "multiplayer co-op" and doesn't actually talk about it). I know that the reviews were probably written before the announcement, but that's one of the most important features for me.

So has anybody tried it? What's it like? There was something special about the first game, such as the quirky mercs you meet. Tex, the japanese cowboy in particular comes to mind with his chirps and Ivan the Russian. Haha. Their varying personalities is probably the highlight for me.

The franchise seems to have had some misses apparently with subsequent follow-ups and the IP seemed to have bounced between various companies doing those spin-offs.

Maybe it's nostalgia, but I'd be glad if 3 is better than what the other sequels have attempted.
