Looks like the 4060 is another waste. 4060-4070 should all have their prices dropped by $100 then they'd be in line with paste gen on gen price v perf gains.

Also, even if this is merely anecdotal, I could not be happier with my RTX 4090. Best card ever. It runs super-cool and super-silent while pumping performance in spades. Could it be more affordable? Fuck yeah but it is what it is... the price hikes go all the way back to the suppliers, TSMC has raised wafer prices multiple times in the past couple of years... then the unnecessary lockdowns in China when CoVid was already all but over... you name it...
The 4090 happens to be the only reasonably priced 40 series card. The $100 premium over the 3090 means that nvidia's margins on the card probably didn't change. Halo cards have been stupidly priced since the introduction of the Titan series so this one keeping in line with the past is a win. It's the rest of the 40 series that's a shit show of nvidia raising prices and/or lowering gen on gen performance.
As long as people continue to buy it nothing will change. Sadly AMD doesn't seem to be interested in undercutting nvidia to get market share and Intel doesn't have enough products yet (they also can't afford bottom dollar pricing due to how big their chips currently are).
