Out of the Blue

I mentioned being on the fence about Diablo IV, but the fates sought me out. Verno ended up with an extra copy, which he generously gifted to me. I adventured a bit yesterday and had fun, though I haven't yet progressed past where I got in the beta. But the die has been cast. I think I was probably kidding myself about holding out all along. I've saved Tristram too many times before to let it fall into the clutches of evil now.

beaming power from space will get far more exciting when it is in the MW range. It will be even more exciting when said MW beam loses sync and starts wandering around.

I'd be willing to bet my entire net worth I will not be buying an Apple VR headset in the next two years (actually ever, but I want to be able to collect).

Sorry. I don't monotask.

A man only needs three things in life and one of them is a good dog.
I mean, don't keep us in suspense about the other two...

It's highly idiosyncratic but my three things are a good dog, a good truck, and a good rifle. Those three things would cover everything I would need out of life.

That 180 was likely preprogrammed into the autopilot before the pilot and passengers succumbed to the lack of oxygen.

And it's strange that the cabin pressure warnings and supplemental oxygen didn't seem to operate properly.

Ah, Tristram... Now about as populated as the space cantina in Star Wars thx to the shared world.

Yeah, I'm still salty. Such a great game and then ActiBlizz puts a turd on top... Will play it nevertheless but will try to keep away from any MMO events.
This. I'm going to hold off on getting this for a while, if ever.

Good luck with that . The "MMO events" spawn all over the place like inflation is not just a currency thing Wink . I just had one event in NE Scosglen today that is taking place right in front of a dungeon entrance. You need to enter the dungeon for a side quest. There is basically no way to avoid the event, except maybe for waiting for another player to finish it, and then use the small time window before it respawns to enter the dungeon.

Seriously, if you want to avoid "MMO events" or other players then there are only two options: Play in the wee early morning hours or wait a year or two until the player base has been decimated enough.

I personally have no problem with the "MMO" elements. It's fine with me and adds variety to the monotony of the clickfesting. Besides, the events can be finished very quickly, usually in under five minute when you're solo, or if there is another player or two, then it's literally an affair of less than a minute.

It's also cool that you can join at just about any time and still get the rewards for clicking twice Wink . The loot isn't too shabby often times with the occasional legendary drop.
Honestly, the events are pretty great for XP and loot so you would only handicap yourself if you were to go out of your way to ignore them. It's all but impossible anyway because they are so prevalent.

Yes, I, too, succumbed to the hype...;) Enjoying the game. Running at 4k with high-res textures, all eye candy maxxed, at ~100 fps average--I prefer no FSR, btw. I can average 150 fps (6900XT) with FSR-Quality, but it doesn't look quite as good as no FSR, So I turn that off. I play single player--as much as I can get, that is. Frame rates are not a problem! I'm running the EA, so I wonder what changes the retail release will bring in a few hours, if any.
It is well known that I cannot err--and so, if you should happen across an error in anything I have written you can be absolutely sure that *I* did not write it!...;)
