Out of the Blue

We were in full summer swing yesterday, even though it's still a few weeks until the season officially begins in these parts. First off it was a million degrees. Okay, I exaggerate. It probably didn't get much past 100,000. But still. And second, it was our first trip of the year to the farm to pick up our CSA share. Thankfully this week did not involve us having to do any of the picking ourselves due to that heat and a thunderstorm that broke out right as we arrived. We have a "small" share in the CSA, but this still results in a lot of produce for two people. But that's fine. After a few recent bouts with stomach issues, I've vowed to work on improving my diet anyway. Lettuce hope that helps.

Or when. I always park my e-bike in the Paleolithic Era. It has only been stolen once. I think it was one of the weirdos that hangs around the monolith because a few days later I spot a giant space baby riding my stolen e-bike.

Makes so much sense. As a website operator, you don't want other sites inundating you with traffic right? That's like stealing bandwidth or something!!!!

Seriously though, if they are actually blocking referrals I can't even begin to imagine why.

I say we give them a reason for why.

LOL I would, except I actually like Dark Horizon. It is a good place for a movie buff like me to find out interesting things, and most of the articles are actually written by mature, talented people who obviously actually care about the topic about which they are writing. Game journalists can do much worse than learning a thing or two from them.

Maybe too much referral traffic from one site gets flagged as bot activity by Cloudflare and blocked? Like a DDoS attack. I can't imagine the traffic from Blue's to be so great as to trigger that though.

I highly doubt that was intentional. Wordpress force upgraded all WP instances to newest versions because of some "fun" stuff going around. Maybe default has weird rules?

Is anyone else getting this message on the Deckard link? I have definitely been on Dark Horizons before... Did they go paywalled or something? I'm using chrome btw
Yep. Taking out the "www." bypasses it for some reason.

It's a referral block - if you go there from bluesnews it blocks, if you open new tab and copy it in it works.
so apparently Bluesnews is now blocked from linking to Dark Horizons.

Thanks for the helpful info, but that is really weird.

On the topic of the article - I'm aware that the creator himself (and now the actor who played Deckard) has stated that Deckard is a replicant, but I still prefer to consider it an open question and a mystery worth pondering. It's more fun that way. It's like when someone says The Matrix is an obvious metaphor for transsexuality. It obviously isn't to me, but art is interpreted in different ways by different people, and no one can really tell them they are wrong. That's what the art said to them. It's a very personal thing in that way really.
