Yeah, I mostly agree -- either there is something I am missing or it is just plain stupid. Was reading something the other day which basically said for XYZ corporation (don't remember who, but a major corporation everyone knows about and employs 10s of thousands of people) saying paraphrased, "...if you aren't using AI to help you with your job, you'll soon be looking for a new job." The basic premise being anyone using AI would be outperforming anyone who wasn't so significantly those not using it would soon be weeded out. Uh, yeah, sure...

Never heard of complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs) before, but I did find this interesting:

ahead of CFETs will come gate-all-around (GAA) transistors, which TSMC will be introducing with its TSMC's upcoming N2 (2nm-class) production nodes.
2 nm. Crazy stuff.

Some folks I know who now use ChatGPT regularly rave about it doubling or tripling their productivity... AI doesn't have to be able to do things humans can't, it just does them way faster and with no complaints or human requirements (unlike all the millions of interns and other basic work positions it's quickly going to replace).

AI feels like the same thing. What is it good for? Any music, art, writing created with it is basically plagiarism. It can perform some basic customer service functions? I dunno, maybe eventually it can actually write effective code or solve math problems humans can't do and I just don't see it yet.
