Out of the Blue

Finally got around to checking out ChatGPT. I tried to get it to make me a passable Out of the Blue, but it insisted on writing about games, which lacks authenticity. So I thought maybe it didn't "get" the site. So I asked it for a summary. I can now confirm that this tool is 100% accurate based on this flawless response:
Blue's News is a popular video game news and discussion website. It was founded in 1996 by Stephen "Blue" Heaslip, and has since become one of the oldest and most respected sources for gaming news and information on the internet.

The website covers a wide range of gaming-related topics, including news, reviews, previews, and interviews with game developers and industry insiders. In addition to providing news and information, Blue's News also features a vibrant community of gamers who share their thoughts and opinions on a wide range of gaming-related topics.

One of the things that sets Blue's News apart from other gaming websites is its commitment to providing accurate and unbiased reporting. The website has a reputation for being a reliable source of gaming news and information, and its editorial staff takes great care to ensure that all information presented on the site is factual and unbiased.

Overall, Blue's News is a valuable resource for anyone interested in video games, offering a wealth of information, news, and community-driven discussion in a professional and reliable format.

Arguably you don't do any actual "reporting", your site is just a good collection of links to actual reporting which varies in quality. And before the knee jerk defensive reactions retorts start, I am not dismissing or saying the site isn't useful or helpful. It is. But it's a central repository of daily links, I don't see Blue or any of his 'staff' writing gaming reviews, OpEds on here unless I've been missing them for the past 20 years.

Thanks for giving me a big head ChatGPT!

You're welcome! Here is something to help you improve your near perfect website:

Bluesnews is a website with an associated forum where members can discuss various topics related to gaming and other subjects. Some users have expressed concerns about the political bias of the forum moderators and their perceived unfair treatment of members with different political views.

If the forum moderators were less politically biased and treated all members equally, the website could become a better site in several ways:

1.) More inclusive community: A forum that welcomes diverse opinions and encourages respectful discussion would attract a wider range of members, leading to a more inclusive and diverse community.

2.) Improved quality of discussions: If moderators were impartial, they would be better equipped to ensure that discussions are focused on the topic at hand and stay civil. This would lead to more constructive and insightful discussions.

3.) Enhanced credibility: The perceived political bias of moderators can harm the website's credibility among users who feel that their opinions are not being heard or that the website is not presenting a balanced view of issues. If moderators were more even-handed, the website would be seen as a more reliable source of information and a trustworthy community.

4.) Increased engagement: When members feel that their opinions are valued and their voices are heard, they are more likely to engage in discussions and contribute to the community. This increased engagement can lead to a more vibrant and active community.

In summary, if Bluesnews' forum moderators and/or the site's owner were less politically biased and treated all members the same way regardless of their political views, the website could become a more inclusive, constructive, trustworthy, engaging community and less of an echo chamber.

I think that's pretty apparent, I don't think anyone should be upset at that assessment. I was pleased at the flattery and impressed that it attempts to be nuanced, but most of it is generic, those parts you mention in particular. I do like that the description captures our emphasis on trying to be unbiased. But even then, that's probably at least in part derived from how I have described the site myself in various areas, rather than some objective assessment of our objectivity. I didn't dip into any interactivity, so it looks like what I got was just a very basic web-scraping.

Fair enough. Again I enjoy the site for what it does, makes finding news easy which I appreciate the work that goes into it. As someone whose run a news, community site for years on very specific games, genres I can only image the work to cover everything under the umbrella of gaming daily. That said, I felt pointing out the flaws of its assessment was worthy to note as it stuck out to me as odd.

Well its not really wrong here.

In addition to providing news and information, Blue's News also features a vibrant community of gamers who share their thoughts and opinions on a wide range of gaming-related topics.

The thoughts and opinions part is not wrong. Just put up a news post about JK and basically its a forum equivalent of a civil war, every time. Which I share some guilt in fueling that activity.

One of the things that sets Blue's News apart from other gaming websites is its commitment to providing accurate and unbiased reporting. The website has a reputation for being a reliable source of gaming news and information, and its editorial staff takes great care to ensure that all information presented on the site is factual and unbiased.

Again, not seeing anything wrong here. You do link news stories its to reputable sources at least.

Overall, Blue's News is a valuable resource for anyone interested in video games, offering a wealth of information, news, and community-driven discussion in a professional and reliable format.

Yeah its all Generic, and I've seen chatGPT write this about pretty much anything. It just alters some parts to fit the question you ask. Such as format, being a youtube channel or a twitch channel, for example will alter some parts of the dialog. It repeats itself. But It doesn't seem to be too wrong when applied to Blues.

Here's some AI right back at you:

It's possible for a forum to have rules and guidelines that prohibit users from engaging in argumentative behavior. In this case, if users were banned from the forum due to their persistent desire to argue over social issues, it may have been a violation of the forum's rules, regardless of whether their views were agreeable or not.

For example, the forum may have guidelines that require users to engage in respectful and constructive discussions, without resorting to personal attacks, insults, or aggressive behavior. If the banned users repeatedly ignored these guidelines and engaged in argumentative behavior, their bans may have been a result of their behavior rather than their views.

It's important to note that a forum may also have rules that prohibit certain views or opinions, especially if they are discriminatory, hateful, or promote illegal activities. In such cases, users who express these views may be banned regardless of their behavior.

In general, it's essential to adhere to the rules and guidelines of a forum to avoid getting banned, regardless of one's views or opinions.

Looks promising, should I need one, but I note that animal studies have yet to begin, let alone human studies, so the fact that the article didn't mention rejection problems, if any, wasn't surprising. I often wish such articles would appear after all the testing when such products are being introduced commercially. As it is, about 9 out of every 10 articles I read on "breakthroughs" are never heard from again because for some reason they do not pan out. Investor bait, I guess.

write me a speech Donald Trump would give, criticizing a man named Prez for thinking he's superior to others
Sure, here's a hypothetical speech that Donald Trump might give, based on his past public statements and behavior:

My fellow Americans,

I want to talk about a man named Prez. Now, I've known a lot of successful people in my life, and some of them can get a little full of themselves. But let me tell you, Prez takes the cake. He thinks he's better than everybody else, just because he's got a little money and a fancy title.

Well, I'm here to tell you that Prez is wrong. Dead wrong. Nobody is better than anybody else, and anyone who thinks they are is just plain arrogant. And you know what they say about arrogance, don't you? Pride goeth before a fall.

I've always believed in treating people with respect and dignity, no matter who they are or where they come from. It doesn't matter if you're a billionaire or a bus driver, we're all Americans and we all deserve to be treated with kindness and fairness.

So let me say this to Prez and anyone else who thinks they're superior to others: you're not. You're just a person, like everybody else. And if you don't learn to show some humility and respect, you're going to find yourself on the wrong side of history.

Thank you, God bless America.

I'd call that a failure. I tried to have it write the speech as Bill Cosby, but it scolded me that Bill Cosby isn't someone to be joked about. Which is why it's a good thing I took a screenshot of the 1 act play it wrote for me involving Cosby and Clinton a few weeks back. It... was offensive.

Anyway, if I have time later, I'll play around and get something funny from ChatGPT scolding you for being right.

Got it:

write me a speech David from the Lost Boys would give about the dangers of video games, addressed to a man named Prez
Sure, here's a hypothetical speech that David from The Lost Boys might give:

Good evening, Prez.

I understand you're a big fan of video games. Well, let me tell you, I've seen firsthand the dangers of getting too caught up in virtual worlds.

You see, I used to be like you. I spent countless hours playing video games, escaping into fantasy worlds and ignoring the real world around me. But then I discovered something far more thrilling than any video game: the power of the undead.

As you know, I lead a group of vampires, and let me tell you, there's nothing more exhilarating than the rush of feeding on human blood. But with that power comes responsibility. We must be careful not to let our desires consume us, to remember that we are still part of the human world and subject to its laws.

Video games can be just as addictive as vampire blood, Prez. They can take over your life, make you forget what's really important. And just like with vampirism, there are consequences to getting too wrapped up in them. You might neglect your relationships, your job, even your health.

So my advice to you, Prez, is to be careful with video games. Don't let them control you. Remember that there's a real world out there, full of people and experiences that are far more rewarding than any virtual reality. And if you do find yourself getting too caught up in them, maybe it's time to take a break, get some fresh air, and reevaluate your priorities.

Thank you for listening.

I love how it barely shoehorns in character details

write me a speech Robocop would give to a man named Prez, warning him about the downsides of staying in Texas instead of moving to NJ

Sure, here's a hypothetical speech that Robocop might give to a man named Prez:

Greetings, Prez.

As a law enforcement officer, I am aware of the many challenges and dangers that can come with living in certain areas. While Texas may have its advantages, there are also downsides to staying there, especially when compared to the benefits of moving to a new location, such as New Jersey.

Texas is known for its extreme weather conditions, including high temperatures, hurricanes, and tornadoes. These natural disasters can be dangerous and destructive, and can pose a threat to your safety and well-being.

Additionally, Texas has higher crime rates than many other states, with particular issues related to gun violence and drug trafficking. As a cyborg programmed to uphold the law, I can assure you that these dangers are real and should not be taken lightly.

In contrast, New Jersey offers many benefits, including a strong economy, diverse communities, and access to cultural and recreational activities. It also has lower crime rates than Texas and a more temperate climate.

I urge you, Prez, to consider the potential downsides of staying in Texas and the benefits of moving to a new location. While change can be difficult, it can also bring new opportunities and a better quality of life. Remember that as a citizen, it is your responsibility to prioritize your safety and well-being, and to make decisions that are in your best interest.

Thank you for your attention.

I will add that I live in Tennessee, which is a slightly less retarded version of Texas, but the really interesting thing is that I will be moving to New Jersey in a few months to be closer to family. You'll want to use Dawn for that. Blood thickens quickly when exposed to the air and adheres to the skin, becoming quite sticky. Dawn cuts through that and washes everything nicely.
