This is the second time Davis has been arrested since taking office in 2019. Davis was placed on probation last September for a 2019 case in which he pled no contest to driving while impaired, speeding and obstructing a police officer.

Marvin T. Martian wrote on Mar 27, 2023, 18:06:First, I assume people watch shows with dysfunctional people/families, at least in part, because it makes them feel better about their own situation. Second, one of the better ones I've seen was the movie August: Osage County -- a bunch of A-list actors (including Meryl Streep) as a truly messed up family after the death of the family patriarch. Third, one of my sisters got me to watch Yellowstone. It was much better than I was expecting. Yeah, it is a goofy drama a lot of the time, but it has enough good moments to make it worth watching, at least IMHO. Jimmy's hospital visit from his new girlfriend was one of them.Ahumado wrote on Mar 27, 2023, 12:14:Hated the show. Ditto with Yellowstone (except for the outdoor bath in Season 1 LOL).
Why people want to watch dysfunctional people then praise it is goofy goofy goofy.

But 1883 (Follows the Dutton family on the Oregon Trail) and 1923 (a prequel to Yellowstone and a sequel to 1883) are awesome.

I did 5 or so episodes of Yellowstone on a plane. I just couldn't.
Kevin Costner's character is nearly a billionaire, with more land than Rhode Island. But he'll murder and kill to protect it from legal claims around it. And he'll find disenfranchised young men, separate them from their families, mentally and physically abuse them, brand them with his name, tell them no one will love them the way his family does, and brainwash them. That's the nxvim playbook. It's literal cult behavior.
Yet the show seems to want you to root for him and his family, unlike Succession, where the show wants you to enjoy their fuck ups and misery
Which I guess is only two, Walter "2" Costinak for creating the logo and Steve for cleaning it up for the current format
