Resident Evil 4 Remake Released; Free DLC Dated [Mar 24, 2023, 10:17 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Resident Evil 4 is now available for PC and consoles, offering the
eagerly anticipated remake of this survival/horror shooter originally released
in 2005. The Windows edition is available
on Steam,
where you can also still try out the recent
Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo for free.
This post discusses the remake and mentions the Extra DLC Pack that
accompanies the launch. The
Launch Trailer celebrating the release shows off gameplay, and concludes
with a splash screen promising the free Mercenaries DLC will come to the game on

Overon wrote on Mar 24, 2023, 17:05:I've personally saw a two-hours gameplay on a 9th gen i5, RX 5500XT, 16GB RAM @1080p (everything on high, including Leon's hair) - buttery smooth.
Any shader stutter or traversal stutter?
They surely took their time to optimize this build.

The Quest 2 VR remake was awesome i played that last year.
The train section in VR is amazing.

My college roommates and I played the special missions stuff for like a whole year straight on GameCube.
Getting the S rank or whatever with every character on every level... it was brutal, but a fun challenge.

I played the original PC release, and thought it was pretty good, and didn't have any major control/graphics issues.
I'll maybe get this for under 10 bucks some day... the only remakes I'm buying are the ones I missed the first time around, by and large.
Although I am tempted to get Dead Space 1 remake when it drops in price some more.
