The promised free trial weekend is
now underway in Far Cry 5 on all platforms, celebrating the fifth
anniversary of the first-person shooter. Windows gamers can head on over to the
Epic Games
Store and get in on the action. If you end up deciding to buy this, all
progression from the weekend will carry over. Here's a refresher on the
game:
Welcome to Hope County, Montana, the land of the free and brave, but also the home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate. Stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed and his siblings, the Heralds, to spark the fires of resistance and liberate the besieged community.

Adelaide Drubman ruled. I have never laughed so hard in an FC game than I did at her lines. Running a mission with her while you yourself are in an combat helicopter is some real Apocalypse Now vibes.

The best/worst part of Hurk's mother was calling her in as your companion, sending her to a fortress, having her blow everything in the fortress up and kill all the enemies, and get the Stealth award for having never been seen. Sure, your helicopter pilot was seen, but you weren't, so full rewards!

It's not just his mission that was fun. Quick side note for people who haven't played FC5: You can always have two NPC companions joining you. There are way more useful companions than Hurk but if you just want to have fun then Hurk, ideally coupled with his mom Adelaide Drubman (the helicopter lady), is comedy gold. Honestly. Their verbal exchanges are Pulitzer Price material.
And the gameplay gets really crazy, too, since Hurk's main weapon is a RPG and Adelaide is flying that helo. It quickly gets messy as fuck (think WW3) when you engage in combat with these two jokers on your team. I had tons of fun with FC5 and I think it is way underrated.

Anyone can build a PC or buy a PC but thy one that learns how to tweak it is thy true master
I love Fortnite..keeps thy little kids out of thy good games...

Far cry has done nothing new since far cry 3. It is just more of the same. FC5 is annoying as it has stupid interrupts where there are mandatory captures as a means to progress the story. If one was a fan of goofy stuff happening, yakuza series probably does it better, although it is martial arts based instead of guns. The stories are better though and the characters are more sympathetic.

It's a lot of gigabytes for a game which can be completed in a few minutes.
