But many other studios seem to function like rock bands, always wanting to try something new( copying currently popular thing) each album losing much of the core audience. Then next time claiming to go back to the roots, and it ends up sounding like a tribute band of themselves.

Yeah, Elden Ring is great action game with Coop.
Never played a FromSoftware title before, I went in expecting more RPGishness.
Here's hoping they have a big enough budget and time to deepen the RPG features in the future.

It might be a matter of personal taste but the one huge flaw in the game, are the Helmets.
I understand the practicality of helms in battle but for story, they are shit.
The characters are literally acting with facial expressions, hidden by helms and we miss it ALL.
My best guess is they put 90% of npcs in helms for more of a horror vibe.
But dialogue interactions, it's like we are talking to Sign Posts.from Morrowind days where the npcs just stand there 24/7.
It's off putting and immersion breaking.

In case there are peeps planning on playing it in the future, I highly suggested a No Helm mod.

Much deserved Elden Ring, keep them coming.
