a release date, saying the game will launch on PC and consoles on June 20th.

Aliens: Dark Descent challenges us to recruit and level up a squad of Colonial Marines as we explore the dangerous planet. Deploy your team strategically to safely make your way through the zone, but tread carefully as death is permanent.

I'll wait for another good Aliens FPS. Alien: Isolation is good, and largely rinsed the bad taste of Aliens: Colonial Marines out of my mouth, but I would like a more combat focused FPS.

Looks alright, but yeah... What's so wrong with the classic AVP games?!
This actually looks allright, until I you realize it's PG 13 there is no (human) blood or gore, and probably no swearing too.

Not really what I am looking for. I am looking for something more along the lines of AVP and AVP2.

What we need is something with the atmosphere, pushing and suspense of Alien: Isolation but with the action of James Cameron's Aliens.
Imo the hide an seek idea in Isolation got boring after about an hour, and it was 10 hour game... also not being able to kill the alien was frustrating.

Well, 81% of 14,533 Steam reviews are positive so are you saying that ~11,000 gamers are neither normal nor worth their salt?

I enjoyed that game too. It was nothing groundbreaking but it followed the formula well enough and looked pretty good for the time. Absolutely worth $3.

Yeah, decent enough game. Especially for the price. Looks good too.
I needed the FoV changer to make things comfortable.

I really don't know how this one got such favorable reviews, you play one level you've played them all.
Graphics were bad, combat was terrible and the audio was even worse.
I felt nothing but boredom.

Negative. It lasted far longer at 20+ hours for me than Back4Blood which is at 5 hours played and uninstalled, considered at waste of $37 that I paid. Fireteam is still installed. Not that it isn't without its flaws. It has many that make it average at best. The story was fun enough for a run through once (Im not a big aliens fan at all). The endless modes are ok but could be far better. The game should have had 4 players instead of 3 and at least text chat. It just has emotes. No text, no built in voice. That just kills multiplayer, story or horde mode.

Yes. Thats exactly what Im saying. Just because a game has positive reveiws on Steam doesn't mean it's a good game. Especially 3rd person squad shooters, that completely miss the atmosphere of the original movies. Standards have gone down the shitter is what that score means.
