I feel I made a mistake purchasing Dying Light 2 knowing I didn't care for 1 that much. I thought 2 might of made any significant changes to where I would enjoy it more. Instead, I think I like it less than 1. Although it started off OKAY, it just doesn't feel natural and kind of weird. I'm not a big fan of all the parkour indicators scattered throughout the world. Feels too fake.

That said, I had a blast with Dead Island 1 and even Riptide (though the starting area looked low quality, like a bad mod). I would love to revisit Dead Island 1 with some enhancements to the graphics. Here is hoping that at least Dead Island 2 which doesn't take place on an island, at least has the same style and fun that Dead Island 1 had.

Agreed and I'm sort of still in the middle of DL2 but, Techland pulled a nasty prank, you can't use Legendary Levels (250) with mods.
It's not hard to compensate for the loss of levels with modding, though decided to play my first game without mods to level up Legendary.
I'm trying to cut them slack on the story and broken quests despite the release over a year ago, since they got 'unfairly' caught up in avalone's scandal.

They should have used the chance to make Deader Island.

I don't really see why the original would need a remake at all yet. No need whatsoever. Though if they could upgrade the graphics to the newer engine, I'd be down for another run through it. It was a heck of a good time.
