NVIDIA now offers new version 531.26 GeForce Hotfix drivers for Windows. These address the CPU usage bug discovered in the recent version 531.18 drivers. Word is:

This hotfix addresses the following issues:

Higher CPU usage from NVIDIA Container might be observed after exiting a game [4007208]

[Notebook] Random bugcheck may be observed on certain laptops with GeForce GTX 10/MX250/350 series GPUs [4008527]

Damn I really hate how difficult it is to tell your current Driver Version, why the hell doesn't it just say, 531.26 some where?
At least I can't find it, mine are currently dated 2/2/23 and called version 31.0.15.2849. Wtf

Could you assholes over at nvidia make damn sense, please?
How hard could it be to use the same damn numbers for versions, you issue on your releases? Punch

I don't even use Container, disable it in Services, first thing after install.
It seems to cause crashes or not do a damn thing to prevent crashes.
It works much better at least for me, with just drivers.
But have it set to Manual in Services in case I need their Display Panel.
