It's certainly got some bugs, but nothing too obstructive in the 15 hours I've played so far. The worst was probably getting stuck in the animation of holding up my backpack (this game’s immersive weapon wheel), which I think happened because I took a staggering hit from an enemy at that same moment. I was able to select an item while it looped back and forth in the corner of the screen, momentarily flashing white outlines of the items beneath the cursor, to get out of it. My favorite bug so far, though, is the force of a chopped tree falling in the water combines with the buoyancy of the logs to send them bouncing 100 feet in the air. XD

for $30 this game is cheap enough to where you can just get it and not worry about it. Good move for the developers, considering some other boneheaded moves like charging $50 for early access and stuff like that

Ill be honest, I tried it for about 2 hours and it didn't really do much for me. I'm more into games like Vallhiem and the practicality and ease of that game and games like it when it comes to builder type games and surviving.
This game just left me feeling like I was doing way more work then what was really needed when it came to making a shelter or a fire. I played this with a friend and he left feeling the same way.
More power to those who do like this style and grind, but it just wasn't for me.

I actually found Valheim to be much more grindy than The Forest (at least the original). Although it's been a while since i played The Forest, i remember I spent most of my time exploring rather than base building. Where-as Valheim was a lot of grinding to unlock the next area (especially the swamp runs for iron/mud or whatever it was), then being unable to teleport with it and having to boat run after boat run.
Actually, i recall one of my biggest complaints for The Forest was there wasn't enough survival or need for base building. Maybe this is different in SOTF?
That said, I actually really enjoyed both, but it's disappointing that Valheim was so successful and then the dev's pretty much disappearing instead of taking advantage of their initial popularity.
Green Hell and Conan Exiles are also awesome survival games IMO, and all have co-op!
And whilst i wasn't a fan of Grounded, more games need to use the storage and inventory sorting system found there. Spending so much of your time micro managing / sorting / searching for crap in chests needs to go.

I'll probably get this in a few months, but only because I have a few RL friends who are really into survival games. I wouldn't bother with it if I had to play alone.
