Just watched a test video by someone who I trust (its not in English, so I won't link it unless you would like to watch it nevertheless). In short: AMAZING game, but the pc version is technically in early access state. An RTX 3080 in combination with a Ryzen 5900x and 32GB of RAM (
a 2080 is recommended for WQHD at ultra quality for 60fps gaming) goes down into single digits in come scenes at 1440p (no RT). And nevertheless, when they did the same sequence again, it ran at 60fps... Something is not quite right. There were few real bugs he noticed, though. An invisible wizard at Hogsmeade was the worst thing he came across, so it the quality of the game itself seems to be really good. He played for roughly 40hrs and the game crashed twice - which is acceptable IMO. He absolutely loves the game and is therefore really furious about the technical problems. Such a great game that might have a not so great welcome because the performance is very wonky.
The publishers told the testers there would be a patch for the test version delivered the last weekend - did not happen. For today, they announced a special RT patch that has not arrived either yet. So be prepared for a great game with huge performance problems for most people who have no 4090 to run this.
They also tested the PS5 version which ran perfectly fine, so it seems to be a problem with the pc port.
