Evil Dead: The Game Launches Splatter Royale

A new update is now live for Evil Dead: The Game, adding a new battle royale mode called Splatter Royale to the Evil Dead survival/horror game. This is available for Windows on Epic Games Store as well as for consoles. The PC release demonstrates one of the weaknesses of Epic's storefront after all these years, as there's no function to report on such news. Update: That was a reference to a lack of news updates in store listings, but it's been correctly pointed out there is a seldom-used news feed that did indeed cover this. There are details on the Evil Dead Website, along with a trailer showing off the new mode. The description is quite straightforward:
Evil Dead: The Game’s new battle royale-style game mode is now live, free for all players!

Choose a Deadite version of your favorite Survivor and Demon from the game. Use your wits and weapons to duke it out to the Last Deadite Standing in fast-paced, cutthroat action for up to 40 players.

If you took your head out of Steam's ass for a few minutes, you might have seen https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/news for Epic Store news and https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/blog/evil-dead-the-game-splatter-royale-update-is-out-now for specific news about this Evil Dead game's update.

Blue, it's like you're not even trying. How long have you been at this again? I suppose you're waiting until the ChatGPT-based search engines take over so you won't have to learn how to use Google's current one.

Welcome Tim Epic_News
It looks like Derek Smart Derek Smart Derek Smart is working for Epic. sad
Or is Tim and the people he hires just as big a douche.

But then again it could have been some rando posting that.It almost sounded cutterish.
Surely a public relations nob would have phrased it better. Could have even emailed Blue behind the scenes to point out something no one has ever seen.
Hell, anything would have been better than whatever that drivel was.

I was referring to each game's store listing, but you are correct about that news feed.

For the record I've been not trying at this for 27 years. One day I hope to earn some benefit of the doubt for my intentions.

There is some overbearing perpetually angry tint to one or two guys here like in every forum.

But Epic_News' post sadly shouts maladjusted if not shill.

And where would we have seen this news? Are you going to launch a launcher for your launcher, so we can get news about your news while we read our news? If it was so important for you to create and launch an account, maybe you should done it earlier?

It's not on the PDP, right?

Then again, I don't really get that news from Steam, due to how I use Steam. I mostly get it here. I really am dependent upon Blue for any and all gaming news

I eagerly await Epic adding in a game news section to their launcher's game list screen like Steam did a couple years back. Totally not annoying and doesn't take up screen space or slow program performance and need gpu acceleration to run it. I'm sure Epic will make one that is better anyway given how great their launcher is in using as little resources as possible.

Good news on the Epic news feeds. Another place to check for the free game announcements.

Evil Dead the game isn't that bad by the way but definately needs more refinement. I did appreciate it being free a few months back to try it out.
