Out of the Blue

It appears we may be lucking out on the weather in the area of the BlueTower today. Yesterday the forecast suggested we would be buried in snow today, and the HOA mailing list was abuzz with talk of preparations for digging out. But after a dusting this morning, this ended fairly abruptly. I thought this might just be a temporary pause, but an updated weather report now indicates we're to expect 0.2" of accumulation at most. That's fine by me. I like my hamburgers medium rare, but this well done nothingburger is a treat.

I'm surprised the lord of darkness doesn't own a Montegrappa LOTR Doom or Eye of Sauron fountain pens.

That dog/rifle discharge... the guy was in the passenger seat, there's a 50% chance the dog and the rifle didn't even belong to him, but instead to the driver. Always unload your firearms, open the breech, safety on, and swallow your pride and put that neon barrel block/flag in for fuck's sake. Also, why the fuck was it laying down pointed at somebody, out of a case or bag?(it sounds like, article is scant on details)

I like the Zebra pens in general. They make a very skinny one (forget the model) that's great to leave in a checkbook or jam into any tight space.

I gave up on cheap disposable pens 15 years ago and spent $70 on a high end Cross pen. This one (discontinued now, but Cross makes others): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016PNN9S

I bought two, and just order bulk cartridges for them from Amazon.
Once you have used a really good quality pen like this, you'll never go back, although the Zebras come pretty close.

I jealously guard my two pens. No one borrows my pens. I've used one so much the paint is wearing off it. I have big hands, and that fat design just feels wonderful in my hands, and as long as you buy quality cartridge refills, it writes like a dream.
