Why would they wait for a court decision? They didn't kick him to the curb because he's guilty, they kicked him to the curb because he's now a financial liability, something which is true regardless of whether or not he is guilty. It sucks, but that's the shitty world of capitalism for you. There is absolutely no incentive for a company to stick their neck out for an employee or business partner facing public accusations that reflect poorly on them.
