I don't know the specifics of this case, but sometimes things are clear prior to a court decision.

Do you have a router? Because if so, there is a very, very high probability that you are.
I do—an ASUS RT-AX58U. Any information and links you can provide to set up a Windows environment running a "Linux" router would be most appreciated.

A fellow Blue's News member sent me the following:

Do you have any particular guide you recommend using?
Also, my main concern with this approach is that my kids play some games on their iPads that have ads, and, unfortunately, if the ad isn't served up to the game, it stops working, saying 'no network connection.'
I assume the Pi-Hole approach will still cause this problem; do you have any experience with this (other than telling them to play different games)?

Could you answer those, as I have the same questions?

I'm seriously considering switching away from Chrome. I have Ad Block, but all these ads from Google keep getting through. The only browser I've seen that genuinely blocks them is Brave. However, I wouldn't say I like that it's built on Chromium. Is there another Chromium-free browser with excellent ad blocking?
Are you using uBlock Origin? Between uBlock Origin and AdBlock if I ever see an ad (which is not very often) I basically reload the browser and then I don't see that ad any more.
Great idea. I reenabled AB. Let's see if both do a double-KO on ads.

Actually more likely to be FreeBSD if he has an older router.

I do use Brave, don't know how much of the blocking it gets credit for. Basically the only time I see ads is when the video or streamer has the ad as part of the video or stream. Say like Linus Tech Tips does -- in those cases I fast forward for videos and mute for streams.

It isn't the same standard in courts and in public facing employment.

I'm on Firefox for years now, formerly with the addon AdBlock Plus, now with uBlock Origin. Works like a charm on all sites.
I think it's Ad Block Plus on Chrome. I tried Chrome's uBlock Origin, and it appears to block Ads served by Google. Thanks! 👍

Why not just run Pi-Hole on your network and block all ads at the network level? It's dirt simple, so much so that kids as young as 12 can figure out. Bonus, you're only maintaining one device that serves all clients instead of multiple clients (phone, tablet, PC, laptop, etc) with wildly varying control mechanisms.

Why would they wait for a court decision? They didn't kick him to the curb because he's guilty, they kicked him to the curb because he's now a financial liability, something which is true regardless of whether or not he is guilty. It sucks, but that's the shitty world of capitalism for you. There is absolutely no incentive for a company to stick their neck out for an employee or business partner facing public accusations that reflect poorly on them.

Sources say Rick and Morty is set to continue, with Roiland’s voice roles to be recast.
This guy could probably do it.

But I'm also wondering, does Roiland "own" the voices of the characters? Or is that Adult Swim property?
