Honestly, I can't remember any inspired missions in the MW games past the third one. 4 was okay, but it played everything too safe.

Halo campaign makes you ponder if short or long games are better? Halo surprisingly short for an open world. I think the answer maybe medium length games.

It does seem that way doesn't it? At this point, no matter what direction Halo is taken, a large portion of the fans are going to heavily complain. If the devs stick with the original gameplay, fans will complain about the game feeling old and stale. If they try something new, fans will complain that they didn't stick to the original formula. Fans are looking for the same feeling they got when they played Halo for the first time. That's something they will never feel again but keep on expecting the devs to fulfill. The curse of nostalgia I'd call it.

My biggest complaint with the direction of Halo is the storyline. Halo 4's storyline was confusing and went in a really lame direction. In Halo 5, suddenly AIs have a shelf life and start doing all sorts of crazy shit as they die. In Halo Infinite it was nothing remarkable and would be really confusing if you hadn't played 5 (which was probably the case for a lot of PC gamers). It feels like Bungie left the franchise at the perfect time in regards to the story. Bungie finished the original story, filled it out with Reach and ODST, and then 343 was left to try to figure out where to take it from there.

As a consumer, I'm not interested in 343i developed versions of Halo anymore.

Somewhere, out there, Blue is quietly giggling to himself repeatedly, after coming up with that headline.

It's being played off a 980 Pro NVME drive so it's not like it's being held back by spinning rust.

At this point, I think Ubisoft could probably turn out a better Mechwarrior game.

Sounds like it really needs a change of hands. Nevermind all the issues leading up to co-op's release.

I played Infinite's campaign in its entirety in co-op, and the sheer number of issues and bugs we ran into was staggering. I'm glad I didn't buy it. It was fun, and I like the open world, but the bugs... Good lord. It's not that complex of a game! Simple, yet important, things like your abilities not working at all until you die (and sometimes not even then). Not having your grappling hook significantly hinders you in a lot of places.

I bought Infinite at 50% off and enjoyed it. The campaign is a blend of ye olde interior corridor missions with open-world exploration and base clearing. You unlock outposts all over where you can choose any weapon and vehicle you've unlocked, pick up some friendlies to ride along, and then go wreak some havoc. Driving a Warthog full of NPCs with heavy weapons around is still a ton of fun, and you can do that as much as you want in that enormous overworld map.

Really enjoyed my time with the Halo MCC. Hoping Infinite will be good too.

according to jason schreier everything in the original "leak" was bullshit and that appears to be born out by this message. there's no reason to think the part about all story DLC being cancelled is exclusively true.

i'd like to see some story DLC released, personally. i've generally liked all the halo campaigns i've had the chance to play on PC. halo has the worst fanbase i've ever seen, possibly in any medium.

I'm not surprised campaign DLCs were cancelled.

The latest Halo's campaign is infinitely shitty.

They had a winning formula with Halo 1 and 2, then it all went downhill from there, go figure.

We promise that 343 Industries will continue to NOT provide split-screen co-op for Halo Infinite, despite explicitly pledging to do so, in writing, after it's absence in Halo 5 led to criticism.
