Out of the Blue

The Game Awards air today at 7:30 pm EST. The good news is the recent indication that this will not be a three-hour slog like last year. A recent interview with Geoff Keighley indicates he's aware that premieres and announcements drive interest in this event far more than the awards, so hopefully the show will represent that. No drinking game this year, it sounds like just downing a shot for every reference to Geoff's "friend Hideo Kojima" would probably be enough to give anyone alcohol poisoning.

I haven't read them but in the movie I think they were fighting so their district got food or something.
Yeah, not quite. While food was in limited supply the fighting was an annual forced combat between randomly selected people, one male and one female in each of the twelve districts, to the death one, one survivor allowed (the victor). It was done as a punishment to the districts for rebelling against the capital 74 years ago.

Oops, thanks for the correction. Well my wife and I decided we need to watch them again since we didn't finish them. I guess I will be getting a much needed refresher.
