The game doesn't particularly seem super hard, but when things start going sideways it can quickly go all wrong. I got a little frustrated yesterday at the fact that I had a large chunk of people die in a sector without knowing how. The game log said accident, there weren't any, but I was also in a starvation situation so it may have been that (though they died shortly after a mess hall food tick). By the time that happened though I'd already figured out a bunch of stuff I should have done differently to that point so I plan on just starting a new playthrough.

I'm a fan of all sorts of building games in general, but the thing that struck me about this right away is the narrative. The story going on seems far more entwined with the gameplay than most I've played (at least relatively early on).

So far seems like Frostpunk crossed with Homeworld

I'm liking it, though I'm not sure it has much replayability as it's essentially just a single player campaign.

I watched Nilaus play it some, didn't seem that hard. Although granted he is experienced in these types of games...

I heard this is a more punishing version of Frostpunk, but set in space obviously. Sounds too depressing for me to get.

Yeah, I have playing the Hell out of the demo since March. If you purchase this game, just be aware that the learning curve is steep and very unforgiving. I'm after the prologue shown in the demo and I am barely hanging on by my fingernails. I don't find it annoying or discouraging as it fits in with the theme very well but, man, I can't imagine trying to play this if it is your first colony/station management sim.
