With The Game Awards set to air one
week from today,
Valve announces it will be giving away one 512GB Steam Deck every minute
during the live airing of show. This is only open to Steam users who watch the
awards live through Steam. It's not clear why they are so desperate to be the
go-to outlet for the awards, which will be co-streamed by many sites, but there
it is. Here's more:

Edit: Can I substitute my winnings for a toaster oven.
Presumably means no VAC ban on the account, and has at least $5 spent on it to be a what we could call a non-trial version of Steam. Which means I'm fucked since I have a VAC ban on my account (thanks Bungie for sabotaging my Steam account due to bad ram triggering their anti-cheat garbage).
Also, afaik EU in their case is still selective, since not all European countries can buy the Deck directly... I've heard from a few people here on Iceland who had to jump through some bullshit hoops to get one, like getting people (random/friend/family) in EU countries to buy it themselves on their own accounts & then ship to them, and those buyers had to pay out of their own pockets even -> couldn't use proxy payments via PayPal or similar.
