This game is really cool and immersive in VR. Recommend! And if you like it, go give Elite Dangerous VR a whirl. Thank me for tens of hours of immersive fun later.

I had a weird issue with this. I don't have Epic Malware installed (I use Legendary and Rare for a gui), so when I tried to play this game, it gave me a weird error at first. You need EA's launcher installed for some reason, even though it's being given away by Epic. So I did that and discovered I actually have an account and two other games on there.

Anyway, I get the game running but then it defaults to HDR being turned on which totally screws up the gamma on my display. I couldn't figure out how to change it from the options in the game. I close out hoping to restart and get back to an initial screen that I clicked past to see if there was a setting I missed, only to find that Windows now looked like crap too. WTF? I restart and try changing inputs on my monitor, and even uninstalling and reinstalling nVidia drivers. None of which helped. After like an hour, I found an HDR setting in Windows itself. For what ever reason, the game was telling Windows to turn on HDR. So I toggle that off, and from there, I find out there's a settings file I have to edit for the game to turn off HDR. Once I did all that, now it looks great.

Never had an issue like that before.

You would have a strong argument IMHO, and I do have a completely unhealthy childhood affinity and reverence for Star Wars. Control is an amazing game of above average polish and quality.

I would love a spiritual successor to X-Wing Alliance. I think a really good contender would be having you play as Hera Syndulla and piloting the Ghost seeing as Rebels explained at the end that Hera's crew fought through the entire Rebellion and participated/survived the Battle of Endor (mirroring Ace Azzameen)

I bought it close to release. I've played a few missions in VR but couldnt get into it mostly because of the blurry graphics. In the meantime I upgraded to a G2 Reverb and a new graphics card, and should really give it another go. As far as VR games go it's fantastic as long as you have the proper hardware for it, for freebies you can't get much better than this.

Says it supports flight stick and throttle. I'm in.

I liked the gameplay, unfortunately I haven't spent as much time as I would like with it. My first few hours were fun. The combat is easy to pickup. It nailed the Star Wars-y feel.

I have the same problem, sadly. It only takes about 5 minutes of Elite Dangerous VR and I'm laying on the couch waiting for the nausea to pass.

Snagged but I already have it on Steam. Will probably try playing it on the Deck.

I had fun with this one, I don't play it anymore but worth a try for those that haven't played it.

I don't play it anymore, mainly because I feel the combat is a combination of too slow and too easy to lead hit targets. It's not fast and dangerous like the films. The evasive moves you can pull off and VR capability is cool though, visuals, sound design, is really well done too.

I binge watched Star Wars Rebels this week and the space battles/dog fighting was hella fun to watch, had me on edge of my seat, and makes me wish for single player remakes of the X-wing games.

Having enjoyed the old X-Wing and TIE-Fighter games, I really wanted to enjoy this too (while understanding that it wasn't intended as the same kind of space-sim experience as its "spiritual forefathers"). Sadly, it just didn't hook me despite looking pretty spectacular. Is the multiplayer for this even still alive at this point?

I have it on good authority that my Rogue Squadron buddies are not amused about becoming a freebie . Fuck EA!

Well I know I'm the only one here who actually liked and will miss Stadia but I didn't assume I was the only one here who streamed games. Anyway, thanks for reply and happy holiday.
