My entire team, and my agency's entire team, at Twitter is gone this morning.

That's like 10 people on the ad sales team gone over the weekend. I wonder if Elon just flushed the entire team on the revenue side and is now hoping he can rebuild it after focusing on... whatever it is he's focusing on. Breaking promises not to make decisions on his own, instead of as a team, predominantly.
So there is no one left to talk with large advertising customers. Another brilliant move by Space Karen.

Twitter unlocked. But Trump has said he is not coming back. The last tweet there is from January 2021. We shall see if Trump lied again or is telling the truth for the first time in his life.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Mar A Lago. This is a bit of a dilemma for Trump. As I understand, he is actually is legally contracted to post exclusively on Truth. Of course a legal contract never stopped Trump before..

Moreover, Truth Social's entire economic model depends on Trump using it as his primary megaphone, otherwise it pretty much will collapse over night, and he cares since he and his family have a large financial interest in the company.

That said, if he really wants to run for President again, Twitter is where he'll want to be.

I dunno if his contract requires him to ONLY post on Truth, or if he can retweet his 'Truths'. I remember reading that his contract required him to post on Truth first, so he may have someone just maintain the Twitter account as a secondary. We'll see.

Trump claims he won't return to Twitter after Musk announces reactivation of the serial con man's account following the super accurate results of Musk's highly scientific Twitter poll asking millions of bots if the disgraced ex-president should be allowed to return to the collapsing platform,
Trump said he saw no reason to start tweeting again and would instead stick to lying on Truth Social.

Safe to say, Twitter is no longer worth the nearly $44 billion Musk paid for it. It’s now probably worth only a fraction of that sum — a fact that should be of no small concern to the bankers who lent Musk $30 billion to purchase Twitter on condition he pay $1 billion a year in interest.

Two lessons here.

First, corporations that regard employees only as costs to be cut rather than as assets to be nourished can make humongous mistakes. Elon Musk is Exhibit #1.

Second, where corporations view employees as costs, the traditional way for employees to flex their muscle is to strike, thereby temporarily closing factories and stopping the machines.

But where employees are a corporation’s key assets, workers’ greater power comes in threatening to — or actually — walking out the door. Elon Musk is Exhibit #2.

He is definitely going to use Twitter again as Murdoch has basically given a mandate to all of his holdings to downplay anything and everything Trump, they're all in on DeSantis. Trump will need the exposure and there's no way he won't use it. The real question is if Twitter actually survives another two years like this.

Twitter may cut more of its shrinking workforce as early as Monday. According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk is considering new layoffs that would target the company’s sales and partnerships teams.
Friday, Musk reportedly asked Robin Wheeler, Twitter’s head of ad sales, and Maggie Suniewick, the firm’s partnerships chief, to fire more employees. Both were terminated after pushing back.

Twitter did not respond to request for comment.
The company no longer has a communications team.

On a side note: the platform’s automated copyright strike system wasn’t working. someone posted the entirety of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift across nearly 50 tweets. The thread was up for about a whole day and widely shared
