Interesting how so many people disliked the Witcher show... I loved the novels, at least the 5 or so that I've read(I am pretty sure more are translated now) and I thought the show was pretty good. I never finished Witcher 2, although I did finish Witcher 1 and 3... I've been meaning to go back and play Witcher 2 for awhile now, but none of that really had any bearing on my enjoyment of the show. This one quote by an ex Witcher writer... meh, who knows how true this is. One offhand remark? Constant hatred of the novels? Games? No way to tell, this is more gossip than anything real, and it leads into more of a promotion for his upcoming X-Men show than anything. "We're all fans of the X-Men... on my new show coming out in 2023!" Also, for something that has run as long as the X-Men comics.. what fucking era are the writers fans of? Probably different eras anyway. Hopefully none of them are fans of the 'Wolverine got his adamantium sucked out' era, or the 'everyone is related to Cyclops' era(s).
Amazon's Lord of the Rings show was pretty, and mediocre to me. The orcs are always going to be the most interesting species and culture to me in any LotR movie or show though, the elves and dwarves are always boring as hell. The humans and Halflings... ugh, either ridiculously brave or cute and silly, also pretty boring. That said, I finished watching the show, and thought it got slightly better over time. Maybe hire some better fight coordinators though, very weak combat from the elves. No more over the top wire-work/cgi please.
