These cards are way too expensive so waiting for a $500 version though. Maybe end of year.
ya, end of year 2030 maybe ^^

Ok, $600? Price would be reasonable for a RTX 4070, they will likely announce it in late Oct or so since that's how it usually goes. I got my RTX 3070 FE almost 2 years ago for $550. Turned out to be a cheap upgrade after selling my GTX 1080 for $250.

Man, it sounds like Nvidia is really screwing with people.
They are. Calling the 4070 now 4080/12GB despite it not having the 4080 GPU and only a 192-bit memory bus and 12 instead of (as it should be standard nowadays) 16GB video RAM and selling this at a 4080 premium price is nothing but kicking the gamers in the balls. I guess they will rebrand the future 5060 to 5080, too, if the people are stupid enough to buy the "4080" 12GB.

I'm wondering if they are still waiting on AMD to say something. But in the end it will come down to cost and fps and that will decide if they are worth it. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. To me it isn't a huge deal, because right now you can get a good GPU for a reasonable price now, if I never get a 4000 series card I'll be fine.

No it’s just more clickbate worthy of blocking the website. We have no idea how it’ll perform until reviews come out. CUDA cores, RTX and Tensor cores have gotten more performant per core each generation. Plus there are major clock speed increases compared to last gen this time.
