Previous games in the series that had multiplayer were fun as hell. Never understood why Ubisoft stopped putting MP/Coop in the Assassin's Creed games. I mean, after the Origins "reboot" or refresh of the series I get it because they went open world etc. But Brotherhood had awesome multiplayer and Unity (I think it was Unity) had amazing coop. I'd be down for a new Assassin's Creed mp experience in 202x.

The sequel to HEXE (German for witch) happened before this game: HEXEN (German for witches) by Raven Software!

On WCCFTech they are saying that "HEXE" is a confirmation of previous leaks, i.e. a game set during the Holy Roman Empire with a focus on witch hunts. Since the HRE also included the German Nation, I would guess that the game will in fact take place in Germany and probably other territories that spanned the HUGE area controlled by the HRE.

I think I would have completely tuned out of AC if that would have been the case since I have less than zero interest in multiplayer. The way I understood it is that Infinity is supposed to be a unified platform or a hub as they are calling it here for AC going forward in a GaaS fashion.
I think it's cool that they also mention "old" AC experiences to be included. The way I imagine this might work is kind of like a world map or a historical chart (or both) where you can choose your next AC adventure. Maybe a bit like that Immortal Empires thing for TW Warhammer.
