Well now we know why Melissa Hunter got a cease and desist order for her Adult Wednesday Addams YouTube series. I wouldn't be surprised if her work inspired the movie.
If you haven't seen it, it's amazeballs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD5fBjKwgEQ&list=PLTCIWDtA3VAh2h5rbU2C6xndSoZ7Pio4D

I have no problem with the looks of the character. Luis Guzman is a dead ringer for the original Addams Family comic book Gomez. We'll see if the acting holds up.

She seems to have the chops, but she's too pretty. It's hard to beat Ricci, gobs of talent while at the same time having a bit of an off kilter look. In fact, that entire movie cast was spectacular and perfectly cast: Julia, Houston, Ricci, and Lloyd. Maybe the new Wednesday will grow on me. The look and atmosphere look great, there's a lot going right.
Huh. That looks somewhat interesting. Catherine Zeta-Jones is the worst rendition of Morticia, however, and I am not sold on Luis Guzman as Gomez. I like him in a lot of things, but I don't see him really pulling off Gomez. Could be wrong, though. I initially thought Robert Downey Jr. was a terrible choice to portray Tony Stark. I was very wrong.
EDIT: Didn't realize this was a Tim Burton/Danny Elfman joint. That almost makes it must-see TV.
