Fanatical Quits Acquitted

Bounding Into Comics reports that online store Fanatical has removed Acquitted from a recently offered Killer Bundle 23 after learning about the game's connection with acquitted shooter Kyle Rittenhouse. The game's inclusion sparked social media outcry. In pulling the game from the bundle, Fanatical, formerly Bundle Stars, explains it did not realize the connection. This seems a lack of synergy with Fanatical owner IGN, but the outlet apparently has featured no reporting of the controversy. Now the game has been removed from the store as well as the bundle. In response, a tweet from Nordic Empire Games decries its loss of free speech in favor of Fanatical's:
Acquitted just got censored in violation with our contract with the major gaming company @Fanatical. Acquitted was included in their best-selling bundle, but was removed today since the company claims customers have been offended.

Stop cancel culture - Support freedom of speech!

They were defending an empty used car lot.
Rittenhouse first shot a guy who threw an empty trash bag at him who he admitted he knew was unarmed.
Rittenhouse took selfies with white supremacists while out on bail.

Got some real heavy hitters there starting with when typically if people fully own something, they keep it at their house.
When not being harassed for the "terrible" act of putting out fires, Kyle only defended himself when someone tried to grab his gun, hit him with a skateboard, and pointed a gun at him.

And great job though proving the only white supremacist "connection" is took a pic with some folks he had not much knowledge about that asked for a pic- After the whole trial shenanigans. Maybe if the left didn't try and ruin Kyle's life, he'd be taking fan pics with a more mixed crowd.

So yeah, shoots 3 white criminals that attacked him, no signs of extremist views on all of their social media, somehow best white supremacist example ever.

Pretty much ya'lls argument is armed bank truck guards are just askn for trouble walkn around expecting people not to attack them.

No one would have been hurt if rioters didn't attack first. End of story, but alas, we still see people here bending into pretzels trying to excuse them.

Here's the facts.

Rittenhouse crossed a state line.
Rittenhouse obtained a weapon that wasn't purchased by him and was not legally allowed to use.
Rittenhouse lied about reasoning for his being in the location.
Rittenhouse lied about his profession (see previous).
Rittenhouse was upset that he had trash thrown at him, confronted someone, and then felt himself was in danger.
Rittenhouse opened fire on the person he confronted.
Rittenhouse fled the area after opening fire.
Rittenhouse was confronted, believed to be an active shooter.
Rittenhouse opened fire believing he was in danger.
Rittenhouse left the scene again.
Rittenhouse casually took his time to turn himself over to police.
Rittenhouse has a history of violence.
Rittenhouse has a history of racial resentment.

But hey...you believe that I didn't watch the trial, the farce that was both the judge and both legal counsel...you have your viewpoint, and as sad as it is, this country doesn't persecute for it and nor do I, but do not dare believe that you are working on factual information when there's mountains of evidence pointing otherwise.

I also just adore the simple minded strawmen arguments when someone disagrees with a blatant abuse of the justice system that they must be some 'lefty NPC'.

Well Sigwolf, BoP's contributions seemed fine to me.
But can't really be impartial as I know I'm a hotheaded asshole and too old to change.

Annoyed or not by Cutter, always wished for his change into a calmer version, and felt worried as such a violent frame of mind couldn't be good for his well being (and for those near him).

Same as you, let's see a more peaceful place

Mike actually added to the community. BoP, on the other hand, spewed about as much vitriol as Cutter, he just did it from the opposite side of the political aisle. Both were completely
intolerant of anyone that did not think exactly as they did. I dare say this might be a bit more peaceful place to spend time with both of them absent.

Damn, Cutter banned from Blue'sNews, really hope the best for him.

FloodAnxiety, I agree as I've felt glad and hopeful when Cutter has had some more thoughtful phases, to sadly grow agressive intermittently.
Part of our rebuking with info sources or humor tried to jump-start more reflective views to no avail.
But some real world analytical capacity seems lacking or dormant.

Cutter, a farewell message for you.

With all sincerity, consider self-reflection: ask yourself, why do I believe the things I do? In all seriousness, treat yourself like you are a five-year-old and keep on asking yourself the question "why?". When you narrow in on why you believe something, find competing sources, and read their perspective. You may be surprised to learn that there are many groups of people who will flat out lie. You can tell a good source from a bad source because the bad sources tell multiple unreconcilable lies and act hypocritically. If you are still having trouble, consider brushing up on some boolean logic and logical fallacies, as knowledge of these things can help you spot a good argument from the bad arguments. Dig down and try to use empathy to understand other's positions. Start with the assumption that everyone else is exactly like you, i.e. use the Golden Rule (if it helps, also mentioned in Matthew 7:12), and rework through your values. In your own eyes, swallow your pride and cut ties to your past self. You may fear that you've dug yourself this hole and that you must live in it for the rest of your life, but you do not. You may be surprised to find that people are quite receptive to you learning and growing from your mistakes.

While your time here in these forums was cut short, and you may never be able to regain the community you may have felt here, it isn't too late for you to grow and become a part of a new community.

While I pretty much disagreed with everything single hot take of yours, I do hope that you are able to learn, grow, and become more understanding in the future.

Back in the day nobody used to care if a white supremacist game company made a game about being a white supremacist mass shooter where you executed people of races and political beliefs you didn't like.

Or was that really ever true? Why weren't there more Timothy McVeigh FBI building bombing simulators you could buy? Sold by companies that share his views?
Maybe this golden age of video game sponsored terrorism you are looking for never existed.

If only they hadn't tried to overthrow the government, they ruined the good name of white supremacists everywhere and the fun of those people who just want to come home after a hard day's work and live out their fantasy of mass murdering minorities and liberals while simultaneously funding a white supremacist game company.

Pretty soon people might even start getting upset if you give money to Jihadist game companies.

We used to be so much more tolerant of Nazis in this country, they were even on our side in like a really important war I think?
And the best thing we can do to keep up that important friendship is to buy products produced by them that glorify their views.

"Social media outcry" gets a game pulled, awesome. I understand it's a very polarizing issue but if people feel bad about a game they don't have to play it and don't have to buy it. I'm uncomfortable with plenty of things but I don't demand that it gets banned. There were plenty of controversies about games in the past and honestly I'm happy with every controversial game that eventually got published. If it doesn't gain any traction, good riddance, if it has some fans who enjoy it good for them. I'd never demand or put pressure on a game publisher to pull a game just because it subjectively is something I do not enjoy.

Do what you all want. I tune out anything I don't like, and don't get upset about. I'm plenty used to people on my own forums who I've known a very long time, and consider good friends, who's politics I don't agree with or even disgusts me. I can separate the two.

Cutter's dumber political posts I just ignore. No sense debating him. I can still have a fun discussion with him on other topics like gaming.
