If Trump wanted him extradited then, he would have. Yet it's under this administration that this is now happening. Denial is a helluva thing.

Our governments stance hasn’t changed under either administration, or are you denying that. If so you’re right, denial is a hell of a thing.

Except that going into a thread and going "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE US" isn't a fact check. It's just a plea to look over here instead of over there. A plea to talk about something else, instead of the thing we're talking about. You notice how you almost never get anyone defending US imperialism in here? Because you're preaching to the choir. Yet it's all you seem to want to talk about, handwaving anything to do with Russia as McCarthyism.

Canadian? Pretty sure you've earned your Russian citizenship at this point with all the valiant defending you do of Russia in every thread concerning them.

( Lots of ) Citation needed.

Pretty sure you're conflating "defending" with simple fact checking that merely goes against Neo-McCarthyism and the war drums propaganda of the US Empire.

And no, I don't condone the Ukraine invasion. I condemn ALL OFFENSIVE ACTIONS ( as well as most free will infringing actions, discussion for another day ) including Russia's. Also including drone strikes, sponsored coup d'états / regime changes, proxy wars and "sanctions" who end up killing a LOT of poor people, 40k just in the last year in Venezuela last time I checked, a mere drop in the bucket of the insane amount of death the US Empire deals all over the world by its offensive actions and propping up and safeguarding of structural violence which alone kills about 18 million people every year. Communism with its ~1 million a year WAS ( keyword here ) an AMATEUR by comparison.

By that more complete factual metric, the US of ass's Empire is much more to blame for the world's woes than the inane indoctrinated Pavlovian regurgitation reflex of "MuH rUsSiA!".

What you call Russian citizenship is really a basic understanding of structuralism devoid of most of the typical taint of a US Empire indoctrinated mind and also devoid of the typical black & white logical fallacy where the interlocutor defends "the other side" of that sophistic illusion. I am neither pro Russia, nor pro US, nor pro China or pro "insert whatever boogeyman/country here".

My point of view is from the structuralist perspective, nothing more.

Such indirect "name calling" is once more merely evidence of the dark ages witch hunt spanish inquisition level sophistic thinking prevalent in most of the world.

Not surprising, not unexpected, merely counter-productive, and as a famous former president would say, "sad".

You have to praise the invasion of Ukraine to qualify for citizenship. Something some members of the Republican Party have gleefully done.

Because there is none.

That's the "evidence"? A press outlet refuses to publish something?

So one jumps to the conclusion that they're Russian puppets?

A = B, so I guess that means A = Z right? Right? *sighs*

Why are people still indoctrinated into McCarthyite "logic", regurgitating their inane "arguments" almost a century later?
WHY?!?

As a Canadian, that completely baffles me.

#DarkAgesWitchHuntSpanishInquisitionLevelBullshit

1- "Mary skipped church this morning."
2- "You're right, and it's not the first time either, she disobeys God."
1- "You know what that means?"
2- "Yes..."

Both: "SHE'S A WITCH!"

A = B, so A = Z.

See how that sounds?
