Hoping they don't f**k this up too bad and at least give us who just want a solid single player experience a good run with the game. I'm not one of those that needs to hunt for every epic item/trade anything or care about going in it with another player. Let me get from beginning to end and enjoy that experience solo and I'll say, I've had my Diablo fix.
If that is true you would probably rather enjoy D:I. Not think it was great or anything, but that is basically exactly what Immortal is.
The weird immortal vs shadow thing is... wonky, the PvP is P2W (though pug ARPG PvP has never ever
been good), and I don't even understand what the deal is with all those rune/gem hybrid systems. However, if you just want to play though the game and do some stuff at end game solo / in small groups it is a perfectly adequate Diablo fix. I finished the story and max level part of the game, played some of the paragon / end game into hell 2. At that point it seemed to require far more time than I was interested in investing to advance to hell 3 so I have more or less stopped playing. Honestly I was shockingly impressed with the game overall, but to be fair that is also because I went in with pretty low expectations. Either way, you could do a lot worse with an ARPG and it doesn't cost you anything to play the entire game.
