Out of the Blue

No frivolity today, it's Memorial Day here in the U.S. This is a solemn occasion dedicated to those who died in war. Here's a respectful salute to the fallen and their families. And here's a sincere hope that the sacrifices of the past can show us a way to a more peaceful present and future.

Solemn Round-up

I didn't realize the Bible mentioned the US specifically.

This is where I point out that KXmode thinks what rights people have is beneath him because the Bible says so, but the $60 he spent preordering No Man's Sky is worth being irate over years later. Also, as a reminder, his religion mandates public preaching.

People who don't have religion seem to do okay. Sure, there's the occasional existential horror of realizing that you're a meaningless cloud of atoms not much different from a rock, and that you only get the one life. But it's manageable.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Are you serious?
It was an evident joking commentary.
Don't fret, no one would contemplate it, as it is clearly impossible logistically/economically.
And even if it was, you would get from ineffective to life endangering dosage depending on cumulative daily water consumption.
Running water has necessary additives used in making it drinkable that would conflict with it.
Do you plan to cook with that water ? Tasty !
Besides, statins as any other medication has a certain time before it isn't usable/safe anymore.
Do you flush full cisterns regularly?

Also temperature: what about water tanks in buildings/houses roofs under a summer sun, etc, etc.

But who knows, maybe eventually we would get the healthiest fish ever (those not floating belly up)

Please Kxmode, don't mix my inane ramblings with a religious text.

The Bible is an old compilation of conflicting legends written by many men and modified and badly traslated by many others.
So it doesn't portend anything, nor does tarot, astrology, or any of a hundred thousand other mythic religious or pseudo religious/mystical/occult creations.

Lift your head, look around, what caring god, where is his will done, he can't even show itself.
No god has done anything in favour or against humanity, ever, there are none.

re: Statins in the drinking water

An amazingly ignorant suggestion, and shows the author lacks any pharmaceutical background whatsoever. Statins interact with many commonly prescribed medications in a dangerous fashion, and even niacin supplements. These interaction would outweigh any benefits from having a clinically-effective dose present in the water supply. Who knows how much it would cost to fund such a harmful program.

Basically ignore any drug-related article on the internet unless it is backed by some type of rigour, ether from peer-reviewed studies or other collaborative authoritative source without bias.

The article has some interesting information in it. However, the reported estimates of 13 to 34 million US deaths, including deaths "from a lack of medical care, lack of utilities, and ensuing food shortage" -- as the result of an exchange of 3,000 warheads seems completely underestimated.
And, obvious to me, eventual invasion -peaceful or not- by Mexico, obviously not as destroyed as the USA, unless the USA itself takes preventive action though that would backfire pretty bad.

Yes, Mexico taking back all its war stolen provinces and territories, perhaps more for good measure, because they haven't forgotten nor forgiven, never fear.
Plus the ailing USA would be a treasure of opportunity for multiple countries, and forget about your vaunted AR15s vs determined armies, they would be turned against compatriots in the desperate fight for immediate day to day sustenance.

According to Bible prophecy, the Anglo-American dual world power consisting of The United States and Britain will remain a world power until this system of things ends.

To understand Bible prophecy, we need to go back to Daniel's dialog with King Nebuchadnezzar about his dream and its meaning.

(Daniel 2:31, 32) "You, O king, were watching, and you saw an immense image. That image, which was huge and extremely bright, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was terrifying. The head of that image was of fine gold,"

And the divinely inspired interpretation.

(Daniel 2:37, 38) "You, O king—the king of kings . . . you . . . are the head of gold."

Daniel established Babylon as a world power of Bible prophecy. Continuing to describe the statue, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar.

(Daniel 2:32) "its chest and its arms were of silver,"

And the divinely inspired interpretation.

(Daniel 2:39) "But after you, another kingdom will rise, inferior to you,"

Later, Daniel identified that kingdom to Nebuchnezzar's disrespectful son Belshazzar as a judgment against him and his kingdom for dishonoring God's sacred vessels in a pagan celebration of his patron god Marduk.

(Daniel 5:28) "PERES, your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and the Persians."
(Daniel 5:30) "That very night, Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed."

Thus the Babylonian empire ended and the Medo-Persian empire became the next world power of Bible prophecy.

Continuing to describe the statue, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar.

(Daniel 2:32) "its abdomen and its thighs were of copper,"
(Daniel 2:39) "then another kingdom, a third one, of copper, will rule over the whole earth."

In a vision connected with that prophecy, Daniel describes.

(Daniel 7:6) "After this, I kept watching, and look! Another beast, like a leopard, but had four wings on its back like those of a bird. And the beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule."
(Daniel 8:21) "The hairy male goat stands for the king of Greece, and the great horn between its eyes stands for the first king."

In a decisive victory over the combined might of the Medo-Persian empire, Alexandar the Great swiftly swept through the realm destroying and conquering. In a few years, he had captured most of the known world, establishing Greece as the next world power of Bible prophecy.

Continuing, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar as regards his statue dream.

(Daniel 2:33) "its legs were of iron."
(Daniel 2:40) "As for the fourth kingdom, it will be strong like iron. Just as iron crushes and pulverizes everything else, yes, like iron that shatters, it will crush and shatter all of these."

In a divine vision, Daniel provides more information.

(Daniel 7:19) "Then I wanted to know more about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others; it was extraordinarily fearsome, with iron teeth and copper claws, and it was devouring and crushing and trampling down what was left with its feet."

The iron-like Roman empire eventually conquered Greece with the world's strongest military at that time. It was during this time the Jews lived under Roman oppression. It was also when the messiah was prophesied to come. Bible prophecy points to Jesus as that individual. I won't go into that because it's another topic. But suffice to say, Jesus fulfilled scores of prophecies of an amount that many stated the odds of any person fulfilling such prophecies in exact detail would be a mathematical impossibility. Many prophecies occurred without Jesus's control, like during his birth, as a child, and his final moments of life.

Continuing, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar the final aspect of his statue dream.

(Daniel 2:34) "and its feet were partly of iron and partly of clay."
(Daniel 2:41-43) "And just as you saw the feet and the toes to be partly of clay of a potter and partly of iron, the kingdom will be divided, but some of the hardness of iron will be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with soft clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile. Just as you saw iron mixed with soft clay, they will be mixed with the people; but they will not stick together, one to the other, just as iron does not mix with clay."

This kingdom would eventually become the last and final world power of Bible prophecy. The Anglo-American dual-world power. The prophecy accurately states that it would be a mix of iron and clay. The iron represents the Roman-like strength of the Anglo-American combined military and financial might. At the same time, the clay-like aspect would be the divisive element preventing the government from truly operating like the Roman empire. Those divisive elements consist of protests, disunity, and a lack of cohesive purpose from the populace towards one another and their governments.

Afterward finishing the statue, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar.

(Daniel 2:34,35) "You looked on until a stone was cut out, not by hands, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them. At that time, the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold were, all together, crushed and became like the chaff from the summer threshing floor, and the wind carried them away so that no one could find not a trace of them. But the stone that struck the image became a large mountain, filling the whole earth."

In the Bible, mountains typically represent governments. So this stone would represent God's Kingdom, which would crush the Anglo-American world power and ALL governments, including the former world powers.

Daniels says as much.

(Daniel 2:44,45) "In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain a stone was cut not by hands, and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold."

And to make the point clear, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar.

(Daniel 2:45) "The Grand God has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy."

So now fast forward some 400 years later to John's day. Under divine inspiration, while recording Revelation, he records this passage that intrinsically connects to Daniel's interpretation.

(Revelation 17:10) "And there are seven kings: Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet arrived, but when he does arrive, he must remain a short while."

From John's point of view, those kings represented the world powers of Bible prophecy. The "five have fallen" are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. The "one is" was the Roman Empire that was still in power during John's lifetime. "The other has not yet arrived" would eventually become the seventh and final world power (Anglo-America). But it states it would "remain a short while," meaning compared to its contemporaries, it would be short-lived. History officially says that the Anglo-American dual world power came into existence in 1917 during the height of World War I. That's when Britain and the United States started sharing their power.

Revelation 17:11 also mentions a "wild beast" as "an eighth king" that "springs from the seven" former world powers "and it goes off into destruction." This kingdom is not a true world power but is an offspring of the six former world powers, with the seventh, the Anglo-America, its primary benefactor. Since its founding as the League of Nations before WW2 and then the United Nations, its charter has been to bring world peace and security. It will not be successful because Bible prophecy states unequivocally its existence will be short-lived.

In other words, no earthly government will ever become a world power, nor will it ever supplant or harm the Anglo-American world power. The United States and Britain will remain a world power until Jehovah God's heavenly government brings it and all human governments to their end.

Absolutely, the world today is a house of cards.
With industrial, road and train hubs and dams and atomic plants targeted, as well as the national electrical webs, unfunctional by physical destruction or EMP surged to hell and fuel distribution gone after reserves and distilleries blown sky high.
Without mechanized agriculture, nor supplies like fertilizants, truck distribution, nor refrigeration.
Military, air and naval bases gone.
Millions of hungry, thirsty and sick refugees like locusts overunning the remaining countrisides.

And, obvious to me, eventual invasion -peaceful or not- by Mexico, obviously not as destroyed as the USA, unless the USA itself takes preventive action though that would backfire pretty bad.
