I grabbed this because I haven't played any of the Bioshocks in years. It downloads a 2k Launcher which is probably the worst launcher I've ever seen.

My hope for EGS has always been that it would be successful in providing an alternative to Steam, so that both services would have to up their game and make their clients and stores progressively better. Not just for gamers, but also for publishers and developers.

Either store "winning" would be bad for gamers in comparison.

The entire time I've used Steam (and, to a lesser extent GOG), I've never seen a download queue. If that's legit, Epic is doing something wrong.

Try downloading from Steam or GOG and see if you experience a queue. It could indicate an issue on your side.

Ahh that's right! How could I forget about the hardware and platform features. I almost let the free games distract me for a second.

On Steam you get a copy of the original when you purchase the remastered.

I believe there was something on nexusmods that took care of a few of the changes.

Another wonder thursday, near a best day of the week now.

Yep, mostly have anything the EGS throws (3110 games on Steam), but feel joy and gratefulness for hundreds of thousands of poor gamers and their weekly gift.

Despite those who see their personal situation as the only reality, the EGS makes a gigantic promoting of PC gaming to both well off curious newcomers, and above all, needy people the world over.

Plus funding those worthy devs for new games.
