Not just for gamers, but also for publishers and developers.El Pit wrote on May 27, 2022, 03:39:So pleasantly surprised El Pit.

I thank Steam and Gabe for all of that.
And I thank Epic for free games, and alternative and competitor to Steam, and most of all for the Unreal engine and Epic's support (even financial support) for developers trying to make their dreams come real with the Unreal engine.
It is great that those people are around to make the dreams of us gamers become reality.
I've gotten used to read mostly complaints and grumbles instead of appreciation for our lovedaddiction dealershobby providers, thanks![]()

Timmy putting in work I'll give him that, unlike Gabe who... what is Gabe doing again?
As mentioned the Deck is a *huge* accomplishment and a promise of more relevance/penetration for PC games.
And the Deck comes with the Firefox browser pre-installed which I love, supporting it as it's failing against the MS Edge (ugh).
And you can play EGS, GOG, etc games, plus thousands of emulated games *cough*.
Also Gabe support of VR, the Index, but specially Proton, a failsafe against a Microsoft Windows walled garden a la Apple.
And I know it's immaterial to first world people but Gabe's Steam is the *only* store that decreases prices based on countries' economic situation.
This has made an immeasurable dent in piracy in third world countries and brought sales to studios.
My own case, I bought or downladed only pirated games for decades while no valid reasonable alternative existed in my country.
But haven't played a pirated game since Steam arrived here, lifting a weight from my conscience.
Also bought most of the games I had played even if I won't play them again.
A title is too costly ?, I'll wait patientely for a Steam sale, much more cheap here than any other offerings.
Thanks Gabe, your magnificient mind made the difference.

Anyone having trouble with the download?
I've been in the queue for hours now.

Last I saw of him, Gabe was personally delivering Steam Decks to customers up in Washington and handing out free ones to fans he meets along the way.

Any way to downgrade to the non-remastered editions without buying physical (or other sources)? There were some undesireable changes which were highly criticized and never addressed with the remasters.
