Ya. I have three 2TB SSDs on my gaming rig. I just got tired of deleting a game I hadn't finished just to install a new one.

I actually liked 1 and 3 better than 2. Story means nothing to me in this kind of game. 3 solved some issues that made me hate 2. The map and HUD in 2 would constantly send me to a cliff far above the actual location I set as a way point. It got real annoying. Maybe they've fixed it since I last played it.

The game is certainly well worth it for free.

This is probably a good time to purchase the DLC if you want to go all in the game. The thing I hate the most about borderlands releases is how they tend to break builds left and right with patchs and DLC. That should however be finished, allowing for stable builds to work towards.

Handsome Jack was fantastic, until you got to the end and learned his backstory, and then I couldn't figure out who thought cutting the legs out from underneath him made sense.

They should had released the first two since I have never played them before.

Easily my favorite saga.

- Excellent BL 2 +DLCs in VR with K&M (x360ce+Glovepie) remains my best ever VR experience by far, 20/10.
Wouldn't play it any other way now.

- Loved BL 1 +DLCs so much, 10/10

- Now, The Pre-sequel, didn't like it at first and abandoned it, what with the irritating oxygen thing, the (initially) barren moon and a good Jack, even if it was only the beginning.
BUT, I came back, cheat engined the oxygen off.

Was I in for a amazingly gratifying surprise.
It gets *super good*, with a deteriorating Jack mind that gets epic attention to a level not seen at all in BL2, making for an absorbing story.
The levels get excellent up to mind boggling.
And the mind of Claptrap arc is so funny and complex.
Final impression 10/10.

- BL3, well, it's action is fine, but the story isn't up to previous standards.
Example: That idiot annoying gang leader talks so much, a poor Tiny Tina wannabe, I was relieved when left behind.
Loved known characters don't shine as before.
My gripe is also the 3D map, so confusing it's almost an hindrance (Sanctuary ship), with part off screen, may be a resolution thing but unacceptable unfixed years after launch.

So, playable by all means and a good worthwhile game.
But a letdown compared to the series' standard. 8/10.

It wasn't a very memorable game, but definitely worth downloading for free and playing co-op

BL2 is one of my favorite games, but I had just finished run through when BL3 dropped, so I had no motivation to pick it up. Add to that, that the pre sequel was pretty lackluster further reducing my desire. Looks like waiting paid off.

Even better, Old World just left EGS exclusivity and has become available on Steam. Costs money, but I'm an adult. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Got it in a Humble Bundle monthly some time ago. Installed it and played through about a third(?) of it before I lost interest. Haven't really had much motivation to return to it tbh.

I thought it was okay. It modernized the feel of the previous BL games which was nice (they were feeling archaic in a lot of ways). But yeah, the characters and story didn't work too well. Very forgettable.

I liked 3, minus the story. I don't know if the story really matters though in these games. There's a heavy "Duke Nukem 3D" cringe factor at play with the whole universe.

I waited till the game was heavily discounted to punish the Epic games exclusive garbage. I didn't know they would give it away for free though. The next one I won't buy at all. Unless it comes out on STEAM at launch. Yeah, Valve has a monopoly. Deal with it.
