I still don't know how UE5 is working the high detail magic since more data is always going to be more data, but I find it amusing when I was at a Epic dev meeting long ago when normal maps where first becoming popular and I asked: for somethings, why not just go crazy with the polygon count?. They acted like I was crazy and now here we are.
Anyway all the demos are looking great, I just hope they actually translate to playable games.
