Steam Top 10

Here's the new rundown ticking off the 10 bestselling "games" on Steam for last week, based on revenue. Apologies again for the error last week, this week's list has been triple-checked, so that dupe at the end is legit:

  1. Steam Deck.
  2. Stellaris: Overlord.
  3. ELDEN RING.
  4. Save 70% on The Forest.
  5. Save 10% on We Were Here Forever.
  6. Songs of Conquest.
  7. Valve Index VR Kit.
  8. MONSTER HUNTER RISE.
  9. Save 50% on Red Dead Redemption 2.
  10. Save 50% on Red Dead Redemption 2.

2070 Super Black, shreds through most stuff these days. Bought it 1 month before the coronavirus lockdown before they
shot up to $1000+.

Lockdown didn't make the prices skyrocket, the crypto boom did almost a whole year later.

Anyone can verify themselves by looking up prices history charts.

That isn't what I was trying to say anyway. Just mentioning when I bought it and that it went up 2x-2.5 times since.

I started replaying RDR2 last week. On the last playthrough I had a Geforce 960 and my frame rate sucked so I basically only did the major stuff, fast traveled a lot etc
got to the end and that was it. Totally forgot that I hadn't given RDR2 a real playthrough.

And it's funny that the game hardly encourages you to go out there on your own to do your own thing but holy shit, going way out there on your own to some
hunting is where it's at. I slowed it way down and haven't seen the gang in years of game time it feels like.
In 4K Ultra DLSS this time, it looks absolutely bonkers on some Ansel Adams shit - incredible that the game is 4 years old already. I guess a half billion dollars goes
a long way in software development, lol!

Stellaris, on sale for $8, and oh look, most of the DLC is 50% off... for $142. Nope

It's a lot less intimidating DLC price when you don't try to buy six years of it all at once.

This. I don't get the notion that you have to have ALL of the DLC at once. You're not even going to use all of the options in one playthrough because it isn't even possible. Just get the base game and then according to what you think it is missing, buy the appropriate DLC. Is it really that hard to understand?

Your CPU has a lot to do with RDR 2 performance, as well, as it's among the few simulation-heavy AAA games out there. But yeah, definitely a treat when you can max out the settings and still have it run smoothly.

And IIRC, the best time to say goodbye to the gang and just live your own life out in the wilderness is after you move to the riverside camp. That's the sweet spot between unlocking open world activities and starting to get dragged down with story-related drama. It's a fine story, worth playing through once or twice, but at a certain point your freedom starts to erode.

I hope so, haven't played in a while but Stellaris has become one of the best 4X/strategy games ever imo.

With NCS and Gigastructures and UI overhaul and more events then yea.... but Vanilla? hell naw.

Although I will admit that 3.4 is going in the right direction at least.

Edit. Forgot unofficial patch and better looking backgrounds
