Heck, my Asrock Z77 has been going strong for 10 years!Burrito of Peace wrote on May 14, 2022, 17:12:Good tip, thanks.jdreyer wrote on May 14, 2022, 09:07:
What a shame. More than a decade ago Gigabyte was my go-to brand. I guess I'll stick with Asus. Premium is high, but my 10 year old Asus motherboard is still chugging along.
Take a look at ASRock. Seriously. I have been extremely happy with all of their boards, both motherboard and GPU, and you don't pay for a name.

First Gigabyte sold PSUs that caught fire.
Then they sold motherboards that couldn't support Gen4 PCIe devices.
What's next, I wonder? GPUs that crawl out of the case and beat your mother?
Gigabyte announces recall and exchange for Z690I AORUS Ultra motherboard, citing PCIe Gen4-related issues.User reviews for that board have been terrible since launch. And retailers continued to sell the mobo, even enticing buyers with significant discounts. Hopefully the headaches for users ends with the replacement model.
