Humble Bundle Privacy & Health
When I see
shit software like this installed on a customers computer I ask them if I can uninstall it.
hackcheck, washandgo, ssd fresh etc.
Even in cases where they're genuinely useful, I've found Humble Bundle's "utilities" bundles are usually a bit scammy. Either they are for 1-device or 1-year licences, or (as is the case for at least some of the software in this bundle) it's last year's version and upon registering your software you'll be immediately peppered with upgrade offers.
The only thing in this list mildly interesting is AntiBrowser Spy, if it really does what it says and modify your browser fingerprint to match that of the largest known quantity (ie, anonymity by hiding in masses) then that would be neat.
But in reality their claims are just absurdly stupid "AntiBrowserSpy prevents the browser fingerprint"
Here is a hint: Take a guess how much information bits you can glean from this normal fingerprint
"Fingerprint: BLA BLE AntibrowserSpy=0 uBlockOrigin=1"
"Fingerprint: BLA BLE AntibrowserSpy=1 uBlockOrigin=0"
And how much each bit is worth to assign unique persona ID.
