We've made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.
The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you received the best, most polished versions of them.
We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating.
We can't wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon.
Thank you for your support.

Elden Ring is now a shoe-in for GOTY. The only potential competition was Starfield.

It sucks but it's also good.
I still feel all these delays are because of the market these days, not that delays didn't happen before but now it's like a given.
I'm still giddy I'll get to play these under gamepass. Assuming at this time Starfield/Gamepass will be modifiable, maybe wrong.

They must be in a really sad state for them to be delayed since Bethesda has no problem launching half finished broken games in the past. It must even fall below their already low release standards.

I'm surprised. Since they were advertising a 11/22/2022 date for Starfield I thought they were reasonably confident they could make that date. Maybe marketing just liked how the number looked?![]()

Considering the 11/22/22 release date and the absolute dearth of information on Starfield aside from a few images & a short video on alpha footage (mostly of the ship and the character. I cannot say I'm surprised.

Both games only have 10x the detail, and the player cannot "climb that mountain" in the distance.
