Every time a new Unreal Engine comes out with their spiffy new "demos" everyone is impressed. Same thing happened with UE4.

But you never really see it translated to actual games.

This isn't a demo from Epic. This is a random guy's 1 month of work. That's it. And it doesn't even use nanite.

And you did see it translated to real games eventually. Look at today's games made on UE4, they look pretty much like that snazzy demo that was released at the same time as UE4 was a few years back.
FAQ from his YouTube page. https://youtu.be/2paNFnw1wRs

- Is it real time?
No, it's a high-res render (around 7 frames per second).

He sped it up for the video. Impressive

Specs?
RTX 2080, Ryzen 7 3700x.

Someone get that boy an RTX 4090ti and Ryzen 9 7800x3d⚠️

I mean, obviously? These are just showing what can happen on super high end computers focused solely on rendering.
In reality, games need to coded to run on a very wide range of systems, and need to do a whole lot of processing for what's happening in the game, all of which results in graphics being downgraded.

I saw subway/train stations in person, but this is still bluffy AF.

Very impressive indeed.
