When I saw that in the 42 newsletter, I thought it was silly. It is...BUT if they keep making all this real life base layer stuff, they can sell it all to whatever Metaverse VR project wins the coming VR wars. Still silly, but maybe not an utter waste.

Ah, remembered/found where I got the information... it was from a YTer I watch occasionally who claimed, paraphrased "Cloud Imperium has hinted the next step in funding raising will include creating NFTs of ships..." in a video last month. However, he didn't provide an attribution.... so basically just an Internet rumor.

You know, reading the article -- it does kind of read like something on The Onion. Whether or not they are actually doing this, the story is funny.
