Black Desert is a pretty MMORPG with TERA vibes and a pretty cool character design system. PvE and PvP, it has more in common with Guild Wars and Tera then it does SWTOR/WOW.

Lost Ark is Diablo meets TERA in a MMOARPG. It's pretty, and the gameplay is pretty tight on either keyboard or gamepad without either feeling like a compromise...which is an accomplishment in my book. I have not spent enough time with it to know anything about how it plays long term. The endgame boss fights or the high end gear or whatever may be horrible...I have no idea.

lost Ark is great until you hit the endgame loop. if you enjoy the daily missions, that’s good. for other people it’s the worst part of the game, daily grind for a chance or two to upgrade your gear, to try to get to level locked content.

I think the Battle Pass expires. I have it in my steam library from when it was previously free but the last time before today I tried to log in it wanted the Battle Pass to proceed. The game is supported on geforce now so I logged in today with no problem but I couldn't remember the server I played on so I had to make a new character.

Had some coworkers get me into it a while back. Played it for a bit. It was ok? Not real memorable.

Does this game operate essentially as a free to play game riddled with microtransactions?

It appears they previously gave it away? I'm own it already, although I'm pretty sure I would never have paid money for it.

I've heard bad things about the shop in this one that put me off... Hmm. Free is free, though. Maybe one day. Still balls deep in FF14, and dipping into ESO.

Mmm, the Creation Game went seriously wrong, so many characters are abysmal, and gone to hell.
In other news, already had got Black Desert free.

I am at level 51 and gearscore 1060 and still enjoying it. YMMV, of course.

I suppose I could give it an MMORPG chance but is there any offline capability at all? Just curious.
