Happy Pokémon Day. I've done my share of poking over the year's but I've never
actually Pokéd. But according to
Newsweek, the Pokémon Company brands this a "holiday." Fair enough, guess
I'll take the rest of the day off. Just remember if you are out driving to watch
out for Pokémon GO players out on celebratory hunting sprees.

NATO has decided to seriously upgrade the arms they're sending to Ukraine. Instead of just small arms and man portable rockets, they'll be sending them fighter jets.
These would likely be types that the Ukrainian AF already flies: MiG 29s and Su-25s which are still operated by Poland, Bulgaria, and Slovakia. I wonder if tanks will soon be on the table.
EU countries will send "fighter jets" to Ukraine at Kyiv's request to help it counter the Russian air and land assault, the bloc's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Sunday.
"We're going to provide even fighting jets. We're not talking about just ammunition. We are providing more important arms to go to a war," he told a press conference.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told the EU "they need the kind of fighting jets that the Ukrainian army is able to operate... some member states have these kinds of planes," Borrell said.
