Legend of Keepers: Feed the Troll Released

Remember, never feed trolls. Unless you play Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager, the roguelite dungeon management game for Windows, macOS, and Linux. If that's the case, you may want to make an exception for Feed the Troll, new DLC now available on the Epic Games Store, GOG.com, and Steam. Here's what happens if you pay the troll toll:
Feed the Troll DLC brings brand new content to the demonic dungeons HR experience including five challenging missions and artefacts, 10 slaughtering Spirit monsters, three carnage-inducing traps, the horrific Shaman master, and an exclusive in-game mechanics granting passive abilities to Spirit monsters as well as increasing damage inflicted by all mischievous minions.

Join the Dungeon Company as the new manager defending demons’ lairs from heinous human invaders. Place traps such as the razor-sharp Circular Saw or a Gruesome Surprise to lower enemies’ morale. Mix and match nefarious creatures to annihilate the threat from mortals and collect gold coins to train brave minions, hire allies, get new artefacts, and more.

Played through this game with every character. While it was fun, it wasn't quite what I expected, and was ultimately not that satisfied. On each run, you're always barely making it by the time you reach end levels with each character. Instead of feeling stronger as the game progresses, you are left feeling weaker and weaker as the enemies ramp up to level 9,10 and your minions are limited to 4 (if you somehow are lucky enough to get enough gold to get them that high...most of them will only be level 2 or 3 and end up getting 1-2 shotted by the heroes).

It's a game of attrition and does depend on some RNG such as getting the right minions on a run. You always feel like you're just tossing your dungeon into a grinder and hoping to slow the heroes enough by the end that you aren't wiped out. The problem is - the game would be broken if it let you ramp up minions or hold more than a few artifacts, so you just have to accept you will always feel weaker and less satisfied as you are steamrolled.
