Out of the Blue

If the bad news about the lockdown is how reliant we've become on the TV for entertainment, then the good news has to be how many quality programs there are in this new golden age of television. Sometimes it only takes moments of searching around to discover one of those shows you've somehow never seen despite rave reviews. We just finished a binge of The Good Place. This was pretty easy as these things go, as it had four reasonably short seasons. But what a smart, funny, and creative show it was. A definite winner. And Janet is a new entry on my list of favorite-ever TV characters. That girl (not a girl) just slayed.

Haha, thanks for the tip of the hat to my title claim.

I am pleased things have gone so well -- many, many hurdles have been successfully cleared. Unfortunately, several (many?) remain and the potential for a complete failure still exists. I just think saying anything more than "things have gone very well so far" is tempting fate and or Murphy's Law...

Not until the first images are fully processed -- that's when we found out Hubble was busted.

The Good Place won some HUGO awards including The Trolley Problem episode. "Dr. Chidi, did you save my Dad?..." still has me in stitches.

Reality TV obit? Slow news day, huh?

Omg, I haven't laughed that hard in a while when I saw that horse video. Sven is one funny horse.

I have found my spirit animal! Now if only I could fart on the dog half as much as she farts on, around, or near me.

So, not until the last week of April we will get any "amazing" images from JWST. Anticipation is a good thing, right?

What happened to spoiler alerts!? I haven't seen a plot given this much away since seeing the boat hit the dock in the Speed 2: Cruise Control trailer!

The Good Place was indeed fantastic. Some diminishing returns in Season 3, when it got a bit distracted, but overall one of the best series I've watched.

Great just what we needed, another problem blocking possible human habitation away from Earth.

I would not care to predict that humans will ever have a significant popluation anywhere but on this planet, but the obstacles we already know about make it clear it won't be happening anytime soon, if ever.

Everything about The Good Place breathed excellence.
From the shrimp dispenser that had white chocolate as a coating to DEREK was brilliance.
I rank it up there with Fleabag.
