from GSC Game World announces a delay to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of
Chernobyl. The message, in the form of an image to thwart Twitter's limits
and web crawlers, says the first-person shooter sequel is now expected on
December 8, 2022, though a specific time goes unmentioned. Here's the
announcement:
We've made a decision to postpone the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl to December 8th, 2022.
These additional seven months of development are needed to fulfill our vision and achieve the desired state of the game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the biggest project in the history of GSC, and it requires thorough testing and polishing. We are convinced that development should take as long as necessary, especially in the case of such a project.
This decision is not an easy one, but we are doing the best possible to deliver you a game that can live up to the expectations. With more information, updates and showcases coming, we have an exciting and important year ahead. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Did ANY of you play the original Stalker? It was a buggy unfinished mess at launch. This delay is positive news, no matter how much you want your grubby little hands to play in a beta of the game. Especially considering it's a single player game, and most people will only play through once. First impressions count.

Cut content wise is the entire downtown area around the "palace". And Danny Trejo content I didn't account for in my comment. Giancarlo Esposito is an amazing actor, but I think he was poorly written for in FC6, and didn't hold a candle to Seed or Vaas. I was hoping for a moment of "softness" trying to explain to his son about why he was doing what he did, but it never arrived. Vaas and Seed had layers and depth, where Castillo was just a straight edge asshole dictator.

GSC just seems to be a mess of a company, all over the place. Personally I don't care if they do the NFT nonsense, but not if it is detrimental to those that don't participate, or if it shifts resources from developing the game. As for the launch, seems like companies have learned it is better to spend the time it takes to complete the game instead of launching early. Of course, with limited income that might be hard for them to manage,

if companys have learned anything its better to delay then release garbage still it sucks but there a lot of good games this year
Weird they don't look for more hype by releasing more screenshots or videos. Anyone remember the calander wallpapers they released each months? That would be awesome until the release.

But seriously, every big studio game that was been released on PC the last 2 years has had major issues, content cut, bugs, etc.
So let's take Halo and Forza that were released. Halo had a huge lack of content, and even the end missions were just memory re-hashes from the previous game. Forza for the PC has still major issue with it's multiplayer and lack of any sort of voice chat. Battlefield was just a cluster, Far Cry had a really weak story and cut content, and a complete waste of an amazing actor.
Now granted I'd love to see that they can pull some magic out of their hat and ship a great game, but the press release and the timing of the release of the game has me not holding my breath.
