500 Hours of Dying Light 2

In a tweet, Techland explains just how much content is being crammed into Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Word is it will take 500 hours to complete every quest and side-quest in the action/RPG sequel: "To fully complete Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you'll need at least 500 hours—almost as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid!" This recalls the famous song lyric: "I would walk 500 hours and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked from Warsaw to Madrid and back." On the off chance that there are heathens out there who do not view this as positive news, a follow-up tweet explains you do not actually have to spend almost three full weeks in the game if you're not a completionist. A later tweet expands on that explanation:
500 hours is related to maxing out the game - finishing all the quests, endings, and exploring every part of the world, but a regular player should finish the story + side quests and do quite a lot of exploring in less than 100 hours, so don't worry!

*sigh* Germans are easily able to buy and play non-german versions of this game.

I hope it's not like Dying Light The Following where it's 90% fluff and 10% story which is designed to ping pong you across a shitty shallow map to pad out that 10% for the sake of selling you the idea of a buggy at the cost of the parkour.

100% agreed too. Here is the review I did on The Following back when I had yet to learn that reviewing games was sucking the joy out of my beloved hobby.

100% this. What a major disappointment that game was.

Dying light was awesome though so fingers crossed they learnt from their mistakes.

A quick scroll down on the same tweet the dev said it’s really 50 hours for main story plus a bunch of the side quests. Sounds reasonable.

The forced infection has me a little worried. I hope it doesn't actually have much effect on gameplay and I don't have to go out of my way to keep it under control. It would suck to be in the middle something only to be interrupted by a warning that my infection is progressing and I have to quickly hunt down meds to keep it under control. Other than that, the game looks great from what I've seen so far. Looking forward to it.

I did every quest on Dead Island (modded with no weapon wear and higher jumps), tons of hours, being my favorite over Dying Light, and replying it 2 or 3 times.

Wasn't dissapointed at all, on the contrary, enjoyed every minute.
Also with DL. Great hopes for this one, modded to hell of course.

Bah, I hate these massively bloated games with too much to do. Though that's just me and my grumpy age talking. Oh and that I want Dead Island 2 more than anything Dying Light related...

I have at least 8, probably 10 Techland games (not counting retail purchases) and will no doubt buy this one too.
But Techland continues to disappoint in many ways, No Character Generation, No Choice to Play Female and Forced Infection, wtf? Bawling
More importantly, Dying Light has never had an ending worth playing more than once. Paperbag

I did like the endings of the original CoJ and Gunslinger.
