Yeah, same here -- now anyway. After I exited the military in 1995, I had a ton of credit card debt. It was something I knowingly did. I lived beyond my means saying, "Fuck it. If I need to declare bankruptcy, so be it." But then I got out, got a real job, with a real salary. Hence, I had to buckle down and pay off the credit cards. It took a bit, but after I did I haven't paid a penny in interest to a credit card company since. It was a stupid thing to do at the time, but I decided I didn't care. I don't ever particularly regret it.
