What do states/cities even get out of this? There aren't many employees at a crypto company, they provide no service for the citizens in the area, and they are a huge drain on the electrical grid, while probably not paying their fair share of taxes (last one is just a guess, though, since pretty much no one dealing with crypto pays the taxes they are supposed to be paying).

How fitting, Blockchain.com, moving their headquarters to Miami. They can be one of the first groups to be put underwater by their wasted CO2 emissions.
